Volunteering and community service has allowed me to become more involved in my community. I now have a better understanding of the societal requirements that I am attempting to address through my Fundraising and Volunteering endeavors. It has helped me improve my communication organization, teamwork, planning, problem-solving and task management skills.

GROUP LEADER - Fundraiser Project

This was a Fundraiser Project of Vivekananda Youth Forum in Collaboration with Jamnabai Narsee School, Mumbai.
​
Led a 17-Member Team to raise funds to support, a bright and intelligent student from a low-income family to pursue his education.
As the Group Leader, I was responsible for the entire Strategy and Planning of this Fund-Raising Campaign.
​
IMPACT: Raised INR 90,000.00 so that the student could pursue his education.
The NGO provides vocational training in the space of handicrafts to differently able individuals with a view to keep them occupied through creative work.
​
It has been immensely gratifying to be able to provide help in the training programs imparted to the students with conditions like Down’s syndrome, Autism and Cerebral Palsy for better eye-hand coordination, better movement and overall mental well-being
​
IMPACT: Assisted 4 Members with Autism during the Physical Trainings.

Engaged in community outreach to provide 1500+ Family Essential Kits & Hygiene Kits to thousands affected by COVID 19.
​
Successfully ran a crowdfunding campaign and collected donations towards this cause. Used strong interpersonal communication skills to convey information and raise funds.
​
IMPACT:
Raised over INR 48000.00 to provide the low income families with essential goods kits and hygiene kits.

A non-profit making organization that provides holistic care to the elderly people
​
Consistently volunteer to spend time with the elderly people, engage in games and other fun activities, serve food, Teach them to use technology on their phones like Google Maps, Flight Tracker, Paytm, Dunzo, Swiggy etc.
​
During Covid-19 Pandemic, as part of their Mental Health Program, played online Antakshari with the members of the old age home. Had discussions of varied topics ranging from Movies, Books, Guitar Videos to current affairs with them.
IMPACT:
Senior Members were able to connect and use their devices effectively with the Technologies that I taught them.
LADIES IN LABCOATS
Co-Founded an initiative aiming to highlight and encourage the involvement of young women in STEM fields.
The causative aim for this blog is to break the existing stereotype and instill passion and interest through articles and interviews from members of our team and external professionals.
